Warranty and Returns
Even with the quality range of new and used products we offer at JDM PC Sales Australia, we understand that sometimes products may not work as expected. The good news is we’re here to support you when your product is faulty or a return is required.
As we specialise in used computer parts and Refurbished PC’s and Laptops (a majority of our inventory) we understand the importance of making you (our customer) aware of the condition of each product prior to checkout and purchase. This information is clearly as the ‘Product Condition’ next to the ‘Quantity’ and ‘Price’ information on each product page.
‘New’ Product Condition
A product which is brand-new, unused, undamaged and in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable) and is covered under ‘Manufacturer’s Warranty’ (typically 12 months unless otherwise stated on the product support page of the manufacturer’s website).
‘Used’ Product Condition
A product which has been previously used and / or has been refurbished either by manufacturer or seller (inspected, cleaned, tested and confirmed in good physical and working condition). Used products are typically sold without original packaging, manuals or accessories (unless otherwise stated in description on a product page) and are not covered under Manufacturer’s Warranty.
To provide our customers with “peace of mind” we offer our own, ‘Limited Warranty’ on all ‘Used’ products sold at JDM PC Sales Australia.
‘New’ Products – Manufacturer’s Warranty
All products listed as ‘New’ condition on our website come with a ‘Statutory Manufacturer’s Warranty’ which covers manufacturing faults with the product on particular terms set by the manufacturer. You will be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund of your product if a manufacturing fault happens during the term of the Manufacturer’s Warranty period.
‘Used’ Products – JDM PC Sales Australia, ‘Limited Warranty’
All products listed as ‘Used’ condition on our website come with a Return to Base (RTB) ‘Limited Warranty’ supplied by JDM PC Sales Australia, providing a ‘Coverage Period’ of 30 days from original date of purchase. This Limited Warranty covers any products sold in ‘used’ condition that are found to have defects within the ‘coverage period’ provided.
Products that explicitly state a ‘Minor Fault’ in the product description, will not have that explicit fault covered under our Limited Warranty.
Our ‘Limited Warranty’ Does Not Cover the Following:
- Damage or Faults incurred from ‘Overclocking’ hardware
- Damage or Faults incurred from ‘Mining’ on hardware
- Damage or Faults incurred from ‘Incorrect Use’ of hardware
- Damage or Faults incurred from ‘Mishandling’ of hardware
- Damage or Faults incurred from ‘Physical Damage’ to hardware
- Damage or Faults incurred from ‘Liquid Damage’ to hardware
To commence our Returns Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) process you must first notify us via email email@example.com or Facebook Messenger www.messenger.com/t/jdmpcsales of the item(s) received which are ‘incorrect’, ‘damaged’ or ‘faulty’.
If 30 days have passed since the original date of purchase (for an item in ‘used’ condition) then unfortunately we cannot accept your return or provide a refund or replacement.
Returns will only be accepted when:
- The product received is incorrect
- The product arrived damaged
- The product has developed a fault
Returns will not be supported for:
- Proof of purchase not provided
- Change of mind or buyer’s remorse
- Found similar or alternative product elsewhere
- Found same product at a lower price elsewhere
- Any damage caused by mishandling of a product
- Any damage caused by using product incorrectly
- An explicit product fault that had been advertised on the product page
Starting a Product Return
As an Online Retailer we personally handle the Warranty and Returns process for all products sold at JDM PC Sales Australia. Once you have contacted us to commence our RMA process and we have provided you with our confirmation to proceed – you may now ship your return item(s) to us. Please include a print out of your original Invoice with your Return.
It’s important that you ship your item(s) directly to us and not the original manufacturer of the product. You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for any item returns. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Our Warranty is offered as ‘Return to Base’ only.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your shipped return to reach us may vary. We highly recommend you use a mail delivery service that offers ‘parcel tracking’ as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item. JDM PC Sales Australia will not be held liable for return-shipping packages that do not arrive to our mailing address.
Refunds or Replacements (where applicable)
Once your return is received by us we will contact you to confirm receipt. Within 72 hours we will notify you of the outcome of your RMA (either Approved or Rejected pending item inspection).
For an Approved RMA we will notify you and provide you a choice of either a replacement product at no cost (where applicable) – or a refund for the original cost of the product purchase (excluding original shipping charge). If a Refund is selected, a credit will be automatically processed on your behalf and applied to the same payment method used for your original order from JDM PC Sales Australia.
